Calvary STORM Team 2007

Calvary STORM team visited “Way of Peace” Church and Victory School for the fourth summer in the last few years. From 21 st until 31 st July they taught English at Victory School in the morning and shared their faith with the same students in the evening. There were about 60 students who took part in the English classes. Most of them were not Christian and during those days they talked in English with the team members who found meaningful ways to relate each topic to the Christian faith. Moreover the students had free conversations in the evenings as they played different games and talked freely with the Americans. This was another great time when the team had the opportunity to share the gospel and to witness with their own lives as they related to each-other with love and harmony.

Also, Susan taught computer classes to other kids from the Victory School. They enjoyed learning to use the Internet and Photoshop.

It was exciting to see the joy in the students’ eyes when they worked with their own pictures on the computer or when they could find by themselves what they wanted on the internet. Even when the classes were over the students wanted to spend more time with the American team and would not leave the school premises until very late in the evening.

Some of the students invited some of their “American teachers” into their homes. This is something special for them since they don’t have very often foreigners as visitors in their homes. This was a very good experience for the Albanians students and the American teachers as well.

The ministry of one week was greatly rewarded when some of the students came to the Sunday service. Chuck Ball (the leader of the team) shared God’s word with our church and gave everybody the possibility to receive Christ in their hearts. Calvary team not only blessed our church with their teachings and fellowship, but also with the gift of 4(four) laptops, 2 (two) digital projectors , many ELS materials and many crafts for the school and church. Also 1000 ballpoint pens with the school and church names, telephone and web address listed. It is amazing to see how God uses brothers and sisters in Christ to help and support us in every possible way.

This summer the “Way of Peace” Church was blessed greatly by our bothers and sisters from the Calvary STORM team. Our prayer is that those tears shed on the last day as the team met with the Albanian students for the last time will be sown to reap shouts of joy as we see some of the students become Christian as the result of their testimony.
