Text Box: More than 150 parents and students at Victory School came to an All-English Show organized by Victory School staff to celebrate the Children’s Day, 1 st June.

The children recited short poems, sang English songs, and played a short drama in front of their friends and parents who had come to see their performance. Furthermore, one of the students had also prepared an aerobic dance, which she performed with great skill.

Text Box: The children – from 6 to 11 years old, and from different English course levels – had been preparing for a whole month for this show. Being the first of its kind in English, this Children’s Day Show proved once again that the dedication of Victory School staff, the parents’ cooperation, and the students’ hard work, are able to achieve more than anyone can ever imagine.

A few days before this event, a group of students from Christian Heritage College, Shadow Mountain, California came to work with our church, as well as with the Victory School courses. All of them were part of Vision Team, created 14 years ago, and their goal is to reach the world for Christ through mimes, Text Box: testimonies and songs.

They spent their entire time at Victory School, witnessing and conversing with students in English, as well as joined our classes by using their communicational skills to engage the students in free Text Box: conversation.

Vision Team, led by Melodie McDonald, also participated in the Children’s Day show with two mimes and two English songs. They gave the entire show an genuine English-speaking flavor. At the end, they conversed with the students and encouraged them to keep up with their endeavors to take their English skills one step further into proficiency.

At the end of the show, the Director of the Foundation, Albert Dosti, invited the students and their parents to a cocktail in the LanText Box: guage Center premises.

There is no greater joy than seeing our students at Victory School growing, show after show, not only in age, but also in their English skills as well as organizational abilities. There is no greater happiness than to see parents’ eyes brimming with tears of joy as they see their children perform in a foreign language with great ease and skill!
