Project Title: CLASS & OFFICE EQUIPMENT FOR A LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER COURSE CENTER

About Us:

Victory School Foundation, Albania , was created in 1997. As a Non-Profit Organization, its scope is to teach foreign languages and computer skills, thus giving the people a chance to integrate in the contemporary work market.

Our aim is to offer language and computer skills to people of all ages and professions, thus equipping them with skills needed in today’s work market, and also with knowledge they can use for further studies at university, etc.

Our Vision:

For this reason we have opened a Foreign Languages and Computer Centre in Lushnja town, Albania, where we offer courses of different levels, for people of different ages, mainly children and young people. We have hired a staff of good, dedicated, teachers who are eager to teach the students to the best of their abilities.

Because of the increasing number of students, we are now standing in need of class equipment and stationeries, as well as office equipment for the offices. At present we have two main offices: The Foundation Executive Director’s office, and the Course Director’s office. We also have a teachers’ room, where teachers come to spend their free time, while waiting for their classes. Furthermore, we have an Office for our Secretary, where we have also put a small number of books in English that the students take home to read.

At present we are staying in a rented building (although we are trying to purchase it), with 12 rooms, and some space around it where two offices and one classroom are located. As more students are coming to our Center to study English, Italian, German, and Computer skills, equipment of all sorts are needed, which we have listed in the following paragraph. We are also including the costs for all of the items, as well as the overall cost in Euro:

In addition to these items, we need:

• 

  Books in English for our Library. We would prefer if they belonged to the fiction genre, for children and adults, as we have both categories of students. Second-hand books you might provide for us (no matter what quantities) will be more than welcome.

• English Posters for the classrooms. We need to equip the classrooms (especially the English ones) with posters from the English-speaking world, or with English themes.

• English CDs to strengthen the students’ listening skills. If you can find CDs with English plays, or book readings, we would really appreciate if you could send them to us.

We have tried to find or purchase these items until now, but for lack of funds we have not been able to. All the above-mentioned items are understandably necessary for a normal classroom teaching process.

Our Foundation is asking for your support with any of the above-mentioned items you can send, in whatever quantities you can. In this way we will be able to provide the children of Lushnja town with normal, acceptable classroom conditions, and our offices will be better equipped for a very good, if not optimal, performance for the good of our youth, for their education.

As can be understood, direct beneficiaries from this project will be the staff of Victory School Foundation, and its premises

. Indirect beneficiaries will be the Lushnja community whose children will have better conditions to study, as well as the means and equipment to study.

From its very nature, this project is an open-ended process, as we shall always try to keep up to date with technology and classroom conditions, in order to provide our students with the conditions they deserve, and to provide them with a positive stimulus to learn.
