 In the hot sun of July 2007, and in the sweltering heat of the small town of Lushnja, thirteen Christians from Spain happily sweated as they served the Lord. This team arrived on the 13 th and for two weeks they worked together with the “Way of Peace” Church members. Their main ministry was to clean the populated areas of the town.
 Every morning the Spanish team together with the Albanians believers gathered in the church in prayer to commit the day in God’s hand. Then they would go to the working area, and together with the municipal workers, they cleaned the area and painted the surrounding trees. During their work, people from the Spanish team talked to people who were interested and handed Christian literature to them. People walking on the street would often praise the Spanish boys and girls for their good work.
 The local TV channel was every day present to record what the team was doing and broadcast it every evening. In the evening the team organized different sports and fellowshipped with the people. The second week they organized a football tou rnament with the little kids from the town. On the last day of the tournament they gave medals to the winning football team– which was a very special treat for the winners. Then they invited the kids for a Sunday school service. There they had the opportunity to share Christ with them.
Some members of the team taught Spanish to some students. Those who were not Christians had the possibility to hear about the Christian faith and to witness it in the Spanish team’s every day life.
 It came as a nice surprise when the mayor of Lushnja invited our church and the team to his office in order to thank us for the service to the town. This was really special for our church as it recognized the Christians’ genuine desire to help the community around them.
 The Spanish team came during the hottest days of the year and yet they served the Lord by helping our church evangelize the town. They blessed our church with their love and faith during the Sunday services. They blessed and helped the town as they cleaned the streets and as they spent time with the kids in sports activities. And we are sure that God will reward them for their ministry.
